I come from the North of France and in September 2008, recently graduated in a two-year Hospitality and Catering diploma with “Culinary Arts” option, I started my active life as a head waiter hired by Mr. Cannatella. I easily adapt to the situation so I could be promoted to manager two years later at the age of 22…
When the DI PIU restaurant has opened, I have been asked to become main manager and 6 years later I still make the job, which consists in running the restaurant and especially meeting clients’ expectations, with the same determination! We have the chance at Di Piu to work in a wonderful environment facing the sea. A constant evolution in time… 11 years after I arrived, I still wake up every day with this same willingness to meet the expectations of our clients. Today with my experience I want to transmit to youngsters the passion for this job.
My adventure has begun on November 2017 as a head waiter in La Villa d’Este. I come from Paris and just thinking of working in the sun of Nice was like a dream! Not long after, I was offered a position as manager. I caught this opportunity, this upgrade was nothing but welcomed! I then discovered a dynamic and warm team. Days come and go, but each of them is different. The restaurant is always full, contacts are made, and the desire to work is getting stronger and stronger. The adventure is only beginning!
Waiter’s assistant at DI PIU
He comes from Romania and came to Nice to find a job and learn French. Di Piu hired him a as waiter’s assistant so he could keep taking French language courses. Alin is completely part of the team and he plans to improve his French to one day become a head waiter.
